Australia’s Test squad has undergone a major shake-up for the two-match series against Sri Lanka later this month.

Alongside calling-up 20-year-old Will Pucovski for a potential debut, Queensland openers Matthew Renshaw and Joe Burns have also been named.

Shaun Marsh, Mitchell Marsh, Peter Hanscomb and Aaron Finch have all made way from the squad picked for the New Years’ Test.

“Ultimately Aaron, Peter, Shaun and Mitch have not produced the performances expected of them with the bat at the Test level,” Trevor Hohns, chairman of selectors, said of the axed foursome.

“They have been given good opportunity, but have not produced the scores we need.
